Education is the foundation underlying all our efforts to build the country. With the coming and development of knowledge-based economy, human resource becomes increasingly important in the higher education. Currently, human resource development and administration(HRDA) is one of the critical issues for our institutions of higher learning, especially the way of inspiration, education, training of HRDA to improve the quality of their human resource. However, the theories and experience of the developed countries offer us a helpful mirror.Based upon the current situation of human resource in China's institutions of higher education and by combining theories of HRDA, this thesis makes a detailed comparison and analysis between China and the developed countries in terms of administration idea, theoretical models so as to explore the HRDA models suitable for us. The thesis puts forward practical some suggestion and measures for our institutions of higher education to establish and perfect a rational and highly effective mechanism of HRDA and provides theoretical and practical supports for them to build up a dynamic and vibrant human resource thus eventually to be first-class institutions around the world.
