With the development of economy and society, problems of health arise day by day. Health education increasingly enjoys a universal importance, and becomes a key part in the education field. However, when it comes to how to carry out health education effectively, every country is under exploration. In the course of exploration, borrowing sound strategies and methods from other countries which have done a good job in health education are of great importance. So does our country. Although we have made great progress and got a lot of experiences in school health education through many years of endeavor, there is still room for improvement. At present, in our country, a reform campaign of basic education is undergoing, which provides a precious chance for the development of school health education. The UK is the country which developed health education earlier and reformed it more successfully in the world. British school health education provides many helpful experiences for health education reformation in the world from theories to practices. In the UK, health education is understood as a kind of whole-person education, the ultimate aim of school health education is to help pupils develop a good habit and lead healthy and responsible lives and they can face the challenge confidently as they approach adulthood. Therefore the content of health education in the British schools is to include everything throughout pupils' whole life and help to give pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to become a highly health-aware citizen. In the years of school health education research in Britain, Personal, Social and Health Education(PSHE) curriculum was put forward and with the gradual expansion of its content, it has already become a basic curriculum in the National Curriculum in Britain, and draws a lot of attention from educational circle in the UK.From the point of comparative education, I expatiate and analyze the development history and current status, curriculum guidance, concrete content, traits about the curriculum content and effect of Personal, Social and Health Education(PSHE) curriculum. By analyzing the development, and tendency of curriculum content of PSHE in secondary schools in the UK and being aware of pupils' real needs and integrating matter of facts and educational characteristics of China, some ideas are put forward to be fit for the curriculum content of health education in secondary schools in China in order to provide hopefully theoretical and pragmatic reference for the development of our apprentice health education. Simultaneously, I hope it can help develop and consummate Chinese school health education continually through my study.
