| "Though life is limited, knowledge is limitless." "A man is an undone and is impossible to be accomplished creature which always opens the door for the future."Zhuang-zi and Karl Jaspers' exclamations expressed the philosophers' deep understanding of life. Characteristics such as comprehensiveness, finity and significance have already limited the development of human beings. With the rapid development of modern natural science, nous replacing theology becomes a new superstition, and it also becomes human nature, thus covering the spiritual values and meaning of life. As a result of this, human beings turned into "one-way existing" creatures. And the development of human beings has been simplified as the development of nous, which is so-called "people's alienation". As education is affected by the macro-background, phenomena like ignorance of lives in campus often occur, suicide, spite, homicide, destruction of natural environment, waste, lack of respect for human spirit and awe respect of lives often happen among juveniles. To deal with this problem, scholars are considering how people can obtain the real freedom, how to get rid of alienation, how to resume human personality and dignity, and how to reveal the existence of life. This is the reason why life education begins. At present, life education has been developed in certain degrees all over the world. Experimental units of life education have been started in some provinces in China.People begin pay more and more attention to significance of life education, which is delightful. Meanwhile, we should also see qualities construction of teachers, who actualize life education, has not attracted widespread attention. In some sense, qualities of teachers play the key role in construction of life education. Therefore, it is necessary to survey and to build qualities of teachers.This paper states this issue in four parts:The first part sorts out the definition of life education, reveals three characteristics of life, and puts forward the connotation life education after reviewing research of life education.The second part related to research of life concept in both eastern and western philosophy, browses life concept in human development history, and reveals the background of education. Following this, this essay scans the emergence and development of life education in both domestic and abroad.The third part reveals some phenomena of lack teachers' qualities in education, points out this will affect healthy development of students, and explores reasons for the loss of teachers' qualities.The fourth part puts forward suggestions of cultivating qualified teachers for life education based on the fact that some teachers are not qualified for lifeeducation.The fifth part, on the basis of the other successful areas of life education 's experience ,we explorative the practice of teacher's quality of life education. |
