The direction of our country's elementary education curriculum reforms is moving from the original sole national curriculum pattern towards the national, native and school levels of curriculum patterns. In 2005, the new turn curriculum reform was already comprehensively carried out in Jiangsu Province. As an important part of the curriculum reform, the school-based curriculum will move from theory to practice with the new curriculum reform. History belongs to the humanities, and the goal of historical education should both foster students' humanities accomplishment, and make comprehensive preparations for students' future life as much as possible. The development of the history school-based curriculum in high schools may fully consider the school particularity and the curriculum multiplicity and students' demands for self development. The middle school history school-based curriculum should be paid more attention to in the new turn of the curriculum reform because of its unique humanities and its special role it plays in meeting the need of students' personalization. But at present, the theory and the method about the development of the school-based curriculum are mainly involved in the instructions of the general curriculum, and lack the specialized background. Therefore, their guidance regarding each specialized school-based curriculum in the secondary education stage is not very great. Especially, the developing concept and method of the middle school history school-based curriculum do not have the concrete limits and the patterns. Here the writer has started from the practice of the development of the middle school history school-based curriculum, discussed the concept of the middle school history school-based curriculum, and analyzed the trouble she met in the process of developing the high school history school-based curriculum and its reason. So she thinks three big relations must be dealt with well to go out of the trouble. That is: how to deal with the relation between the development and the goal of the high school school-based curriculum, how to deal with the relation between the development and the college entrance examination, and how to deal with the relation between the idea and the practice of the middle school history school-based curriculum.
