To advocate active and inquiring study methods is the basic idea of the new curriculums. To develop the students' ability of studying history actively and inquiringly embodies this idea, which favours changing study methods, increasing creativity and practice. During the process of teaching, to develop students' ability to question will be based on guiding students to form the structure of knowledge by themselves. It is the key point in developing students' ability to encourage students to question, develop the sensitivity to the questions and arouse students to raise and then solve the problems of history. To foster students' potential consciousness of thinking and focus on self-correcting back-thinking method can enables students to consolidate and increase the ability to self study while thinking back. To work together with classmates and accept others' suggestions and experience can further enrich study methods and develop the students' ability to study actively and inquiringly. It is a basic demand in developing students' independent study habits in history that we should improve the relationships between focusing on students and being mainly guided by teachers, between self studying and reception studying and between universality of the whole students and the differences of individual students.
