Education For Sustainable Development In School Physical Education Curriculum

1. InstructionThe foundation education reform of school P.E. course started at the beginning of this century, and it had experienced the process from start stage to practice stage. According to the step of school athletic course practice, it would enter the stage of maintenance, especially in each one of the experimenting provinces. To accompany with foundation education course reformation, the school P.E. and health course had put on in several experimenting provinces (municipals). The ideas and standard of new P.E. course were combined.Education for Sustainable Development (English name: Education for Sustainable Development, abbreviations ESD) is the education principles established on the UNESCO'consultation from some organization of United Nations, some national government, folk groups, nongovernmental organizations, and some scholars and experts, which is the new education principles with education development, which is the value tide of international society educational pursue.This text explained the Sustainable Development and Education for Sustainable Development. Through combining the history of P.E. course, finding of presented research and education for sustainable development, it analyzed the application of education for sustainable development in P.E. course, so as to supply the valuable results for improving and developing the P.E. course.2. MethodologyThis text used the thesis data method, expert interview method, logic reasons method and comparable method etc.3. Results and ConclusionThrough researching, Education for Sustainable Development was a new idea and thought which had ages meaning and spirit resulted that can applied in many contents during a long time, combined ESD with school athletics and health course, which can enrich and perfect the effects of school P.E. course under the foundation education reform.Synthesize the textual research, it showed ESD could effect the purpose directly and indirectly of P.E. in school, the actualize of P.E. in school, the resource of P.E. in school, the function of P.E. in school and appraising mode.The actualizing policy, teaching principles and meaning of ESD accorded with the purpose and need of the educational reform in our country. So through applying in school P.E., it could active the development of school P.E., which supplying a new method to improve the system of school P.E. curriculum, which according with the request of the development of starting the P.E. and health course, and the development of P.E. course.
