Nowadays,China is on the way of social transformation. Every aspect and domain of our society is changing quickly. Along with the reform, many social problems crop up. Among which unfairness in education becomes more and more outstanding an associated problem with social transformation.Educational fairness means that the government should guarantee each citizen the right to accept proper education based on the reality of society and education, and try its best to reduce the development gap of education to realize the ultimate target of common development of both individual and our society.In the new era of social transformation, unfairness in education mainly expresses itself in education disparity between city and countryside, different districts, social strata as well as schools. It is basically due to the following reasons: the polarization of development between city and countryside and different region caused by the clash of modern and tradition value in social reforming; uneven social income distribution; uneven multiplication of education investment under the market economy condition; lack of governmental public service; the"urbanization"orientation of national education policy and education corruption. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the policy of education to solve the problem and how to solve the problem of unfairness in education through system arrangement deserves our keen attention.Educational fairness heavily depends on fair policies. To approach fair education in nowadays China, we should adopt measures, for instance, to alter practical functions of our government to better play its role in education administration; establish fair operating mechanism for education policies, reduce the increasing city and countryside disparity and social stratum disparity in education; reinforce and consummate educational legislation and strengthen the supervision of education corruption and education privilege to promote development of education and fairness in education.
