A research report on current ethic development condition of adolescents in Shanghai by Shanghai Social Science Academy reveals the prevalence of unhappiness among adolescents. According to a psychological test in the writer's school, most students find learning is bitter. Fierce competitions in school entrance examinations, strenuous learning, frequent tests and heavy spirit burdens damage the students'health mentally and physically. They also hamper the healthy development of children's individuality and causing bad results such as overload in learning ,intense relationship between teachers and students, dull life after classes and aversion to study. Pleasant learning is put forward under such circumstances. In this article, middle school students are chosen as the object of study. The article tries to analyze the theories and practice on pleasant learning home and aboard , put the pleasant learning theories into practice, integrating the characters in biology study, using teaching reform achievements in other courses for reference. Pleasant learning is a comprehensive subject, on whom the research will help develop a new understanding on education's nature, functions, targets, principles and methods. This article probe into the strategy and model in pleasant learning in the field of biological teaching , using a combined method of theory research ,investigation ,summary of experiences and experiment researches. Since the students in senior high school ,exposed to high pressures from graduation exams and university entrance exams ,have heavier psychological and studying burdens than those in junior high school, the writer chose students in grade two in senior high school as the subject of study. Four classes in grade two are divided as laboratory group and comparison group. The two groups have similar examination marks and family backgrounds. This research adopts mental health diagnosis test (MHT) by Professor Zhou Bu Cheng ,Psychology Department in China Eastern Normal University. Inquiry papers are designed on creativity, interests in biology learning and voluntarily learning time on biology. Inquiries are made on the experiment group and comparison group respectively before and after the experiment. The research focus on the following points: part 1, the theory researches on pleasant teaching home and aboard; part 2,the feasibility study of pleasant learning in biology teaching middle school; part 3, the practice of pleasant learning in biology course. The general experiment designs on the pleasant learning subject are put forward with carry-out-strategies, and three layers models and their sub-models are constructed with relevant teaching cases; part 4, discussion on the practice of pleasant learning in biology teaching. Conclusions are drawn through statistics and analysis of experiment data, while the shortcomings and pitfalls of the experiments are explained, and the reform direction is pointed out.The teaching practice shows that pleasant teaching can arouse students'desires to learn, encourage students'interests to explore and research, cultivate students'creativities, help students to acquire the satisfaction through success, generate pleasant emotional experience ,therefore arouse desire for new learning. Consequently the pleasant teaching helps students to learn on their initiatives, is useful to improve the students'marks, to cultivate and better students'creativities, to improve students mental and physical health, to improve students'qualities comprehensively and effectively, hence to promote the effective implementation of quality education.
