The most important things that education concerns are people's growth and development. Making everybody strongly sense the significance of life, loving their lives and learning how to live therefore promoting life are the holy goals of education that society puts. However, the phenomenon in real world is that education ignores its holy goals, pays less attention to life value, make scores and achievements to be the most important, overlook the cultivation of emotion. The result of this phenomenon is that it renders the loss of students'emotion and frangibility of humanity. With the development of the times and the campaign of life education movement in all over the world yet, life education arouse more attentions from large numbers of educationists and many provinces and cities actively carry out the life education. We delightedly notice that more and more people are beginning to pay attention to life education, education is increasingly concerned about"human"development, and guide students to know life, appreciate life, respect life, treasure life and therefore respect for others, care for others, pay attention to the society and the world. However, we also soberly realize that, although life education in foreign countries and domestic HongKong and Taiwan has developed maturely, our mainland on the contrary has just started, comparatively authoritative system of life education is few. The implement of life education should rely on systematic contents of life education. Therefore, it is necessary to make a comprehensive, systematic and scientific research on life education contents of elementary school stage on the basis of fully integrated life education resources. So the paper aims to explore the main contents and structural system of life education of elementary school stage.Chapter 1 expounds the connotation of life education and significance of carrying out life education. There are big differences between Europe and domestic hongkong and Taiwan in the understanding of concept of life education because of the differences of culture and society. And the domestic scholars haven't reached full consensus. To sum up, there are three different points of view. According to research results from Taiwan, life education has broad sense and narrow sense and it is explored from the narrow sense in the mainland of china. After summarizing the connotation of life education, we expound the phenomenon that young people are indifferent to their lives caused by the loss of life education and then come to the conclusion that carrying out life education in elementary school stage is of great significance. Carrying out life education can effectively implement requirements of quality education, and further promote the reform of primary education and it is advantageous to guide students from an early age to love life, to treasure life, love others and build a harmonious society.Chapter 2 focuses on the present situation of life education research and the value of the topic. After analyzing the situation of the domestic and international life education practice movement, I think, because our life education has just started, the current life education research in particular the practice is still in the start-up phase, education reform experiment carried out by the various parts of the country is still in the exploration period, the contents of life education system haven't been perfected. So the research on the subject is of great value.Chapter 3 explores contents of life education of elementary school phase. I have found the objective point of constructing contents of life education and proposed system of education contents of elementary school phase according to a certain theory. In order to facilitate description, I divide the contents into two parts: the lower grade and higher grade. The contents of lower grade focus on helping students initially understand biological phenomena, establish a correct sense of life, develop a healthy lifestyle, initially master the basic survival skills, form the emotions of loving oneself and loving nature. The contents of high grade focus on helping students understand the physical growth process, form the gender approval, experience the value of life, grasp the skills of self-protection, develop good study habits, and protect the environment consciously.The conclusion part proposes that we should take the construction of life education contents as an unfinished educational mission. I hope this paper can draw close attention to this topic from more and more educationists and educational practitioners so that education contents system can be constantly improved with the development of society.As a thesis of probing into educational thought and practice , it mainly choose some research approaches such as investigation,comparison and theory study etc , which hopes to make some contributions to practical educational reforms .
