Under market economic conditions, there are not only problems of management but also the question of running in the school. Management is the optimal allocation of resources that already existed and its aim is to improve the efficiency;School operating is to realize the maximum benefit in order to achieve"educating people","promoting knowledge"and"raising capital"so that more higher requirements for school is put forward .And it is the allocation of resources in the market economy to school choice. It is most focused on how to achieved good efficiency through optimizing the allocation of different resources inside outside organizations, proceed to achieve the maximization of educational goals. Vocational schools as a type of education closely linked with the market, from administration to operations and management, is the inevitable development of the market economy, so school operations have become an important practice of the secondary vocational schools. Schools should foster ideas of capital management, personnel management, assets management, product management and so on to strengthen the sense of service, to promote internal quality, to build external image and to improve social and economic benefits at last.This paper analyze the causes and necessity of the secondary vocational schools operation from the perspective of educational service theory, define the concept of schools operation on the basis of the preliminary understanding of the meaning of modern management, research explore China's current vocational school business model according to the status quo and the main problems of schools operation at home and abroad. It focus on research the specific operation pattern of vocational school from administration to operations and management on the level of capital management, scale of operation, personnel management, product management. A operation pattern of school capital promoting the vitality of capital operation by restructuring, mergers, shares cooperation, leasing and contract form and so on is expatiated. professional principals, enterprise employment standards and market employment institutionalization is implemented to convert brains resource into human capital and form an interactive brains operation pattern of human resource, cause value and interest value. The operation pattern of school brains is incarnated by costs and benefits, professional and comprehensive, quality and characteristics. The operation pattern of school products is embodied by fostering a sense of service, establishing the concept of products and customers, and fostering characteristics and brand concept.
