High School History Teaching In The Cultivation Of National Spirit

Patriotism is regarded as the foundation that our nation lives upon; it is the basis for the country's future development as well.A nation can't stay strong in the world without inspired spirit and noble quality. The young people of our country are the future and our only hope.They are sure to take a pivotal role in advancing our nation's well being,hence it becomes an urgent task for us to focus more on instilling a national spirit within the young of our country,and to raise their self-esteem and confidence in our country,to build up a love of our country,so as to gain a more cohesive and unified nation.By stating basic concept and connotation,this article elaborates the necessity to cultivate national spirit when teaching history in middle schools,which also meets the subject's requirements.Nowadays it is worrying to find the spirit loss on the young generation.Hence,it is very necessary to make up for the loss,just like filling 'calcium' to small children.And the mission of fostering the spirit will fall on history teachers at school,which is very essential as well.How can students accept the theme in class or how should we teachers get students involved in the subjectis a project to us.Not only have I tried finding effective ways to inspire a strong feeling,a love of one's country to students,but I have fully realized we teachers are students' guide in obtaining the knowledge,we should put it the first place to cultivate and develop patriotism,together with some traditions from generations.It emphasizes that teacher's quality should be improved,and at the same time improved teaching styles should be introduced for the benefit of the whole nation.There are some proposals for the subject from the perspective of the whole globe:to emphasize the education on the awareness of a state based on patriotism,to focus on identical education on self-esteem and confidence in the nation,and to focus on the education on both patriotism and awareness as a world citizen.For students patriotism is not done in a day,just as Rome was not built in a day.It is required that we make efforts in the whole society.
