Research On The Distribution Of College Students’ Spare Time And Its Influencing Factors ——Taking Y University As An Example

With the acceleration of social rhythm,people increasingly feel that time is scarce and precious,especially with the development of the popularization of higher education,college students,as a special social group,their grasp of time is particularly important.However,nowadays,the learning state of college students in their spare time is worrying.Understanding college students’ after-school time allocation is a window to reflect their university life state.Therefore,this paper attempts to explore the characteristics,problems and influencing factors of Y university students’ after-school time allocation by using the research method of quantitative and qualitative movement,hoping to deeply understand the specific causes of College Students’ after-school time allocation and put forward reasonable and targeted suggestions.This research mainly adopts the theory of time sociology and mental accounting,combined with relevant research at home and abroad,and adopts the research method combining quantitative analysis and qualitative research.On the basis of the problem,this paper focuses on analyzing the reasons for the problems in the allocation of college students’ spare time.Finally,it is concluded that:first,the distribution of spare time for university students in Y University has the following characteristics:the total amount of spare time is abundant and the grades are significantly different,the activities in spare time are diversified and match individual needs,the distribution of spare time in lower grades is fragmented,The allocation of spare time is goal-oriented.Second,there are the following problems in the allocation of spare time for university students in Y University:lack of balance in spare time allocation,lack of initiative in spare time learning,lack of efficient use of spare time,lack of continuity in the overall arrangement of spare time,and lack of planning in spare time management.Thirdly,the distribution of spare time for university students in Y University is mainly affected by individual factors,university organizational factors,interpersonal interaction factors and social factors.From the individual level,the allocation of students’ spare time is affected by students’ interest in learning,time management ability and learning purpose.From the school level,school curriculum,infrastructure,learning atmosphere,etc.are closely related to the allocation of students’ spare time.From the perspective of interpersonal interaction,the interaction with teachers and peer groups will also restrict the arrangement of spare time.Finally,the distribution of students’spare time is highly related to the changes of the external environment.The alienation of science and technology leads to fragmentation of students’ learning time,and social needs guide the direction of students’ learning.Fifth,countermeasures and suggestions to improve the problem of college students’ spare time allocation:first,improve students’ time management ability and clarify future development goals;second,the school environment is student-centered,adding practical courses,and cultivating excellent campus culture;third,improving teachers The frequency of interaction between students and students pay attention to the guidance of interaction between students and students.
