With the constant deepening of curriculum revolution, the idea of effective teaching has gradually filtered into the senior school Chinese teaching. How to make the Chinese teaching more effective has become a question for many researchers. Diverse thinking has brought in many new theories and created many new ways of teaching, which all make the senior school Chinese teaching more effective. However, when the new ideas and ways spring up, we shouldn't follow them blindly, but calm down and review some existing ones to see if they still have some potential value.The situated teaching has developed for many years. It focuses on students'emotional development. It contributes to students'cognition and makes them experience the growing of their mentality by creating the real or virtual situated teaching. The core of this theory has many similarities to the purpose and requirement of the curriculum revolution. So we think situated teaching will still play an important role in the present senior school Chinese teaching.This passage tries to discuss about the effects situated teaching on Senior school Chinese teaching from reading teaching. The whole paper consists of 5 chapters. The first chapter begins with the effects of curriculum revolution on senior school reading teaching and form the hypothesis of improving Chinese reading teaching by using the situated teaching. The second chapter introduces the theory of situated teaching and gives a clear description of the concept and development of it. The third chapter tells the current situation of situated teaching on senior school Chinese teaching from rea ding teaching. The fourth chapter describes the importance of the situated teaching to the reading teaching. The last chapter tells some ways of situated teaching in practice and research and this chapter makes a research into the effects of situated teaching on the reading teaching in the form of questionnaire , furthermore adds some possible problems in the teaching.
