Bilingual teaching originally only occurred in multiracial countries. Now, with the development of the society and the extensive international communication, globalization requires more high quality graduates. There are more and more colleges and universities regarding the implementation of the bilingual teaching as one of the important teaching reforms. What's the effect of bilingual teaching and what does it depend on? Does it ministry of education, leaders of schools, bilingual teachers, students or parents? This involves an inevitable problem---assessment system of bilingual teaching which is the very thesis of dissertation. Chapter 1 defines the new concept of bilingual teaching, then discusses the modes, nature and significance and analyses the current dominate situation. And it explains the intension of bilingual teaching. Chapter 2 introduces the on-going bilingual teaching practice. Through full and accurate investigation, the author has gained students'feedback. Chapter 3 putting emphasis on the assessment of bilingual teaching especially the theory of assessment, chapter 3 puts forward the purpose, significance and theory foundation .In accordance with the characteristic for bilingual teaching in secondary school, the author discusses how to assess bilingual teaching and study and puts forward the principle, common method, general process of assessment and the assessment of teachers and students. Besides, the author tries to raise target system of physical bilingual teaching assessment in a middle school. Chapter 4 suggests some points on the problems existing in current development of bilingual teaching, such as culture conflict, teaching method, and so on. While she was doing the research, the author practiced it in Shanghai Fudan Junior School. Combining with the assessment system, the author has an initial discussion on bilingual teaching staring from practice and hope to inspire all bilingual workers.
