| In the 21st century, along with development of world economy and progress of technology, the demand for school education, especially high level education is increasing gradually. Therefore, the reform of teacher education is undertaken all over the world. "The collaboration of school-university" becomes the fundamental mode in this reform.Since 80s, last century, America has established "PDS (Professional Development School) "The outcome of more than two decades' development and application is satisfying, whereas it still has many difficulties while it is developing. Firstly, the essay attempts to identify those difficulties in order to find out reasons why those difficulties exist. Generally speaking, it can be summarized to three factors: the first one refers to the attitudes of both parties towards collaboration; second one is the differences between the structures of two collaborative parties as well as the differences between their culture; the last one is the imperfection of protection measurement, such as the imperfection of time and resource guarantee, and the protection of incentive system etc. Secondly, according to various reasons, and effective ways for different cases in practice, different doable strategies are raised and discussed. Finally, some successful strategies of collaboration are demonstrated by means of analyzing the case of the establishment of the PDS between Trent Academy and California State University.Compared to American, the PDS established in 2001 in China was on its threshold. Relevant study particularly the study on difficulty and strategy shows the lack of systematic study and analysis. Through the analysis and study on some cases, the early warning towards the difficulties and barriers on the way of the current and future development of PDS can be made; moreover, some feasible and effective suggestions can be given as well. |
