China has entered a brand-new development stage since the preliminary overall Well-off achieved in 2003. The global competition and the need of China's economic and social development have both demanded our country to establish the scientific concept of development and to build the harmonious society. Under this background, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Fourth Plenum of the 16th CPC Central Committee announced the "resolutions of the CPC Central Committee on major issues regarding the building of a harmonious socialist society". In the resolutions the concept of "harmony" has been incorporated into Chinese Modernization Goals and the Core Value Systems. And the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China also formally proposed a significant national strategic task that is to build the country into a prosperous, strong, democratic, civilized and harmonious modern socialist country.Education is an important part of our society. And the practice of constructing a harmonious education system is also an important link of the building a "harmonious socialist society". As the place for training people and education, each school should pay high attention to achieving harmony. Primary and secondary schools as the elementary factors of our society should undertake significant responsibilities for that such as spreading knowledge and culture, finding out students' potentialities and helping students gain all-round development. Meanwhile, these responsibilities reflect the inherent requirements of social development to the schools.Comparing with the past, the current basic education has experienced an unprecedented development, but some contravention and problems from school development have gradually emerged, which has led to many disharmony phenomena at school. Building the harmonious school is demanded by the need of deepening the reform on internal management of primary and secondary schools. It is actually a continued reform to resolve the disharmony phenomena.This thesis focuses on a couple of key problems about building harmonious campus and analyses them from the perspective of organizational culture by using the method of documentary, interview method and case study method in order to provide a more viable reference system to promote the building of the harmonious campus. As we know, organizational culture is the soul of each organization. The school organizational culture conceals in daily educational behavior. To the school management reform, if the decisive role of the reform—organizational culture were not improved, the reform itself could never be an exhaustive one. This paper tries to do the research of building the harmonious campus from the core aspects of organizational culture, which aims at making people profoundly understand the significance and importance and providing some suggestions and comments which can be used for reference in the future.
