The constructure of new history teaching patterns is to better meet the requirements the era of knowledge economy and the reform of courses set on history education. It is also the inner requirements of the reform of middle school teaching. There has been much research on the patterns of history teaching in the field of histoy education but there has been very little practical operation of new concepts embodied in the history of teaching. The aim of the article is to sum up operable teaching patterns that will contribute to the development of the students' ability of probe and spirit of creation-independence, cooperation, and probe, based on the experience from continous practice, under the direction of modern teaching thought and theroy. The teaching patterns in middle school history refer to the forms of teaching activities of inspiring students to think, guiding students to probe and developing the students'ability of probe and spirit of creation, thus to accomplish the tasks of teaching in the organized combination of the teachers' guidance and the students' probe. The essence is to fully arouse the students' leading fuction, make the students experience knowledge and skill to participate in and go through the process of increasing knowledge and to some degree, to stimulate and develop the students' ability of probe on their own.
