Independent colleges are subordinate undergraduate colleges held by average universities or colleges under new system and new model which appeared at the end of last century. As the higher education institution particularly found in China, it has not only promoted the development of the national higher education enterprise, but also filled the gap between the society' s need of higher education and the scarcity of educational resources in particular historical period in the country. Its growth indicates both promising future and rich reformative intensions.As a newly-born institution, independent college will inevitably meet various setbacks. As the result of the fact that the internal administration has far fallen behind the overall development of the independent college, unsound leadership, laggard administration, nonstandard fund usage, defective organization, unstable teaching staff, unpredictable teaching quality and challenging student supervision all constrain the development of independent college. Therefore, a careful consideration of the internal administrative system of independent college is of both theoretic and practical significance to the improvement of the educational quality and prestige as well as the healthy development of the independent college.Based on the practical meaning of the construction of the internal administrative system in the independent college, this thesis aims to establish its target and principle by analyzing its present situation from the five aspects of leadership system, personnel system, financial system, teaching and student supervision system and administrative section organization. It is hoped that independent college can be virtually "independent" by further perfection of internal administrative system. Under the leadership of the board of directors, college president is in charge of overall issues. A stable combination of full- time and part-time teaching staff should be set up by means of its flexible personnel system to ensure its teaching quality and effect and finally fulfill its aim of cultivating competent graduate for the society. Moreover, harmonious campus atmosphere should be created by humanity spirit to practice the sustainable development of the independent college.
