In the implementation process of high school PE curriculum, it is a problem being worth paying close attention to, that how schools take actions in preparation for administration authority decentralized to school-level. Schools can ensure PE reform progress smoothly by building suitable management system and taking practical and effective measures to carrying out it.Using method of integration of literature, questionnaire and statistics, the research regards general senior high school as object of studying and makes an investigation on the establishment of administration and the implementation of its function, the management of teaching quality, learning evaluation for students, PE teachers training, teaching planning and school-based curriculum. The research also analyzes the concerning the problems existing in the management and provides corresponding countermeasures. The aim of the research is to provide suggestions to PE curriculum reformThe main conclusion of the research is that the school-based management of PE in general senior high school in Nanjing has been in the exploring stage and, the mechanism of school-based management of PE has not been perfected, which restricts the senior high school PE curriculum reform. In order to adapt to the demand of the PE curriculum reform, the main contents for the management of PE are to extend the school-based administration; to reinforce the planning of teaching, the effects of classroom teaching, the evaluating of students leaning performances and the management by participation for all the PE teachers; to vary the administration personnel formation and function implementation.
