Development Strategy Based On The Mode Of Operation Of Independent Colleges

In this paper,the present researcher has made a systematic analysis of the emergence and development of independent college as well as its impact on higher education in China.The paper points out that with a characteristic of local-held mechanism,independent college is a new form of system innovation and resources integration to China's higher education.Moreover,the occurrence of independent college helps intensify the internal competition,and is consequently promoting the overall growth of higher education in China.Basing the argument on relevant basic theories of economics and science of administration,the present paper analyzes,from the perspective of enterprises operation,the operating characteristics of Independent College.Firstly, Independent Colleges follow an enterprise operating model;secondly,Independent College is a multi-held education entity;thirdly,independent college raises its funds through marketing channel;fourthly,independent college puts Unification on economic and Society benefits. Taking the School of Science and Technology of Guizhou University as an example,the thesis further investigates the cost-benefit of independent college using benefit analysis tools.Based on the competitive landscape of higher education in China,this paper also employs SWOT analysis tool to make an analysis of the development strategy of independent college, examine the advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and challenges faced by the development of independent colleges,and consequently proposes possible strategic choices for the development of educational entities of this kind.The suggestions about the development of independent colleges put forward in this paper are as follows:In terms of development goals,an appropriate scale strategy is put forward;As to the overall development strategy,put forward a middle-level strategy;For competitive strategy,an integrated development strategy is proposed;as for specific strategy,the paper suggests a priority for the strategy of considering efficiency and quality.In addition,this paper proposes several implementation road and policy recommendations,that is,strengthen the market strategy, deepen enterprise operating model;speed up restructuring,carry out localization in an orderly manner;facilitate the clarity of property and fights so as to implement standardized management; stress school characteristics,promote coordinated development of education quality and efficiency;Strengthen the building of the teacher's strenth;establish and improve financial protection mechanism;build highly efficient operating mechanism and so on.
