As China's economic development, social equity problems are becoming more and more prominent. Communist Party of China (CPC) always represents the fundamental interests of Chinese People, extremely focuses on social equity. CPC requires that the relationship between efficiency and equity should be properly dealed with in the period of initial distribution and re-distribution, and social equity should be payed more attention to in the period of redistribution. How to achieve social equity? The report of the Seventeenth Congress of the CPC clearly pointed out that education equity is an important foundation and an important cornerstone for social equity. The education equity problems must be well dealed with to achieve social equity. When a variety of disharmonious problems Occur in our society, CPC proposes to build a harmonious society by the development of education equity through giving priority to the development of education. Education equity relates to Chinese social stability and development, relates to the realization of social equity.At present, there are still a lot of problems in the field of education. There are still lots of unfair phenomenon in the field of education. The investment for education is inadequate. Distribution of educational resources is uneven between the eastern, central and western regions, between urban and rural areas. The education for migrant workers'children is unfair. These problems are becoming prominent. The voices for education equity are growing louder and louder. It currently becomes the common concern subject in the whole society to solve problems in education field to achieve social equity.CPC has a fine tradition drawing a lesson from history. In the early years of New China, CPC and China government made efforts to protect the equity of educational rights and opportunities of all citizens, took measures to enable every citizens to obtain a suitable level of education which is suitable for them. CPC and China government achieved education equity in the historical conditions at that time. To research the measures CPC and China government took, to learn successful experience and to draw a lessen from the education equity in the early years of New China can find some appropriate ways and means for the realization of education equity now.This paper is divided into three parts: First, interpret the concept of equity and education equity. Give an interpretation to equity and education equity on the basis of the understanding of the academic community and the Marxist concept of equity and education equity. Secondly, analyze education equity in the early years of New China generally. Analyze the historical basis and the reality basis of education equity in the early years of New China. Give a specific explanation for the education equity in the early years of New China from the respect of the guidelines CPC and China government made, the measures CPC and China government took, the appropriate contents of education CPC and China government gave. Assess the education equity in the early years of New China comprehensively. Analyze the effect, successful experience and the shortcomings. Finally, analyze the enlightenment of education equity in the early years of New China. The successful experience in the early years of New China is helpful to resolving the problems of the education equity at present. The shortcomings in the early years of New China should be avoided when we make efforts to achieve education equity now. Through the writing of this article, I hope I can make a significant contribution to the achievement of present education equity.
