Good early physical education is the cornerstone of sports development in China,and physical education is an important means for the healthy overall development of children.This article uses the literature data method,logic analysis method and comparative study method to compare the early physical education ideas between China and the United Kingdom in the past 40 years.It hopes to enrich the theory of early physical education in China and provide some references for the reform and development of early physical education.This study found that prime early physical education ideas in China in the past 40 years mainly have the comprehensive development education idea,the concept of quality education,lifelong education idea,healthy and happy education concept,and life education idea.At the same time,prime early physical education ideas in the UK mainly have individual education concept,naturalism education,play education idea,the concept of inclusive education,the holistic idea of education,and the quality physical education idea.This study found that there are some similarities and differences between the early physical education ideas in China and UK.On the value level,the similarities are that they both recognize the value of early physical education for sports literacy and physical development and exercise habits,and have unique value for health,happiness of children and other fields of education.The differences lie in the understanding of the two countries' concepts of physical literacy and the pursuit of education value.The ideas of early childhood physical education in China emphasizes the acquisition and learning of sports knowledge and skills,while in the UK emphasizes sports choice,continuous movement,and individual differences;The ideas of early childhood physical education in the UK pursue personal values,while the ideas of early childhood physical education in China pursue social values.On the methodological level,there are huge differences in the ideas of early sports education between the two countries.The ideas of early physical education in China pay more attention to the role of teachers in the realization of education value,while those ideas in the UK pay more attention to the children' own role of value realization process.The ideas of early childhood physical education in China are more inclined to use the means of designing educational content to realize the value of early childhood physical education,while those ideas in the UK pay more attention to establishing the environment and creating the atmosphere for sports to realize the value of early childhood physical education.The ideas of early physical education in China believe that learning and training are the main means to achieve the value of early childhood physical education,while those ideas in the UK believe that play is the main mean of realizing the value of physical education.The ideas of early childhood physical education in the UK take a quantitative approach to achieve the value of early childhood physical education,while those ideas in China do not attach importance to the use of quantitative means.There are some enlightenments for the early physical education in our country.1.Preschool physical education in our country should emphasize the contribution of physical education to the development of other fields of children,and pay attention to the integration of content in various fields;2.Increase the use of quantitative methods and scientifically plan the duration,frequency,and intensity of children's sports activities;3.Learn from the play methods to enhance the fun and entertainment of children's sports activities;4.Emphasize the creation of the environment for children's physical education and increase the opportunities for children's outdoor sports;5.Fully consider the needs and differences of different individuals and enhance children's subjectivity in children's physical education.
