Society In Transition, Russia Secondary Vocational Education Reform Research

Although several changes, vocational education plays a rather important position in Russia and has over 300 years of history. Since 1990s, with the beginning of social transformation, secondary vocational education also took the path of reform. However, the in-depth studies on Russian secondary vocational education reform are few at present. With the research object of Russian secondary vocational education reform and the methods of documentary analysis, history analysis and other methods, the thesis has made a detail study in many ways in this case.The thesis consists of five parts: the first chapter reviews the history of Russian secondary vocational education, which involves the development of secondary vocational education course, teaching content, professional composition, training objectives and teacher education and so on. Based on the analysis of the internal and external background and various reasons, the second chapter has made a detail study on Russian secondary vocational education reform. The third chapter generalizes some distinctive features, for employment as orientation and construction of multi-level continuous vocational education system. The forth chapter affirms the achievements of secondary vocational education reform on one hand and points out the issues on the other. The fifth chapter points out the revelation and thinking of the Russian secondary vocational education reform.The thesis has made in-depth studies on the Russian secondary vocational education reform. The experiences and lessons of them are beneficial to the reform and development of Chinese secondary vocational education.
