Examination, an important part in talent development of institutions of higher learning, is a chief means to test teaching quality. Despite prohibitions, cheating in examination still can't be checked, which makes testing not only fails to fulfil its purposes, but also results in the unjustness and unfairness in testing. Due to cheating, tests cannot truly reflect a student's acquisition of knowledge. The consequence is that a student's capability does not correspond to his educational background, or it can be said that colleges and universities turn out unqualified products for our society, which is detrimental to the quality of education , social personnel evaluation, social justice and honesty. Therefore, it is of particular importance for colleges and universities to maintain the seriousness and authority of testing and take stopping students' cheating in examination as key part in personnel training.The thesis, taking a college as an example and by means of questionnaire, attempts to find out the causes for college students' cheating in examinations. After analysing the effect of different policies and measures taken to prevent cheating, it comes up with some effective management measures to stop cheating in examination.The thesis consists of four parts.1. Introduction. In this part, the objective and significance of the study is revealed and relevant literature, the status quo of the study, study method and content are discussed.2. The existing situation of college students cheating in examination. Cheating is rampant. With the advancement in technology, cheating, with the help of hi-tech, features in great amount, diversified means and the use of hi-tech.3. An analysis of the causes for cheating in examination. A questionnaire is conducted among students and teachers of a college in Wenzhou and the statistics shows the causes for cheating in examination in terms of psychology, economics, sociology and pedagogy.4. An analyis of management measures. The prevention of cheating in examination is a systemetic project and requires comprehensive measures. First, pressing ahead teaching reform and reforming models of personnel training. Second, standardizing test management. Third, establishing control system of honest testing. Finally, strengthening the formulation of laws and regulations. By making a comparative study of various policies and measures, the author puts forward some effective measures to prevent students...
