Since the psychological capital(PsyCap) had been studied by Luthans in 2004, the researchers realized that PsyCap has more competitive advantage than human Capital and society Capital. Right now, the workers from many different businesses have been studied with PsyCap and a series of achievements had been obtained. However, Because of the lack of professional PsyCap scale for the teachers from primary and secondary school, it is hard to study the characteristics of PsyCap for teachers. Based on the present researches, it has remarkable relationship between the PsyCap and the personal working performance. But there is no correlative research on teachers in this area. Therefore, the concept, mainly characters of teacher's PsyCap,the scale and the relationship between PsyCap and working performance, satisfaction are studied in this project, which can enrich the psychology research on teachers and promote the performance of teachers from primary and secondary school.In this study, psychological capital was taken as the starting point and several methods such as document analysis, interviews, questionnaires, factor analysis and path analysis were adopted to define psychological capital of the primary and secondary teachers. The survey scale of psychological capital of the primary and secondary teachers was designed to analyze the current characteristics of psychological capital of China's primary and secondary school teachers, and reveal relationship between psychological capital of primary and secondary school teachers and job satisfaction, job performance and the will of changing job.The research includes three parts, scale development, character analysis and relation study. The research achievements are as follows:The psychological capital of teachers from primary and secondary school has four factors which are Confidence, Hope, Optimism and Resiliency. The survey scale which is developed by author has better reliability and validity, which can the scale tool for the PsyCap survey of teachers in primary and secondary school.The psychological capital of teachers with different gender, educational background, type and attribute of school are absolutely different, while the overall difference of psychological capital of teachers with different ages and teaching length are not obvious.The psychological capital of primary and secondary school teachers has positive effects on the job satisfaction and performance, but has negative effects on the will of changing job. The overall psychological capital is much more effective than the single factor on the job satisfaction, job performance and will of changing job.
