In the 1980's, a great number of rural labour forces who were unoccupied poured into cities.With the increasing of the number of the farmer workers, its structure has also changed greatly. That is to say, the original going to town alone has gradually changed into the whole family's moving out. The moving trend of families has appeared.And then the education of these children follows. Because of the enormous pressure to survive and their own qualities and the impact of the concept of family education, the farmer workers have no time for the education of their children. So the family education of their children has become the blind area of education.And this has become an more and more apparent issue that needs to cause the special attention and the research of the educators and all far-sighted people who care about the family education of the farmer workers' children.The whole essay is divided into four parts:Part one: The introduction presents the background of the essay and sorts the existing research results. This part introduces the main ideas , the major methods and the research significance of the essay. From the theoretical level,this part discusses the connotation of the farmer workers, the connotation and types of the the farmer workers' children and the connotation of the family education.Part two:From the practical level, the part investigates the present situation of the family education of the farmer workers' children who are in the primary school. Firstly, on the present situation of the family education, we interviewed and surveyed the farmer workers whose children are in five primary schools of Weifang Binhai Economic Development Zone. Also, we learned about the education situation of the farmer workers' children in the Development Zone. Finally, We interviewed the Experimental Primary School, where there are the most farmer workers' children, and used a questionnaire to survey , then design and the practise of the samples. According to a number of survey data, we learned more about the present education situation from the basic conditions of the family education, the ways of family education, values of family education and the relationship between the parents and children.Part three: This part discusses the main problems existing in the education of the farmer workers' children and analyses the reasons.The main problems are discussed from the bad learning environment in the families, the bad ways of family education, too high expectations and the lack of communication between the children and the parents.The reasons come from the four aspects: Firstly, the farmer workers suffer from the great survival pressure and have weak sense of responsibility of family education; Secondly, they have little money so the education conditions of hardware and software are poor; Thirdly, their low quality causes the lack of the scientific knowledge and methods of family education; Finally their moving often leads to the instability of the external environment of the family education.Part four: This part is mainly about the effective strategies of improving the family education of the farmer workers' children. This part is about the ideas of the solving the problems which are based on the present, reflection and analysis of the problems.The main points which are discussed are schools, families and the government whose pointed response are explored and reflected.In the conclusion, the research results are summarized, the possible problems are discussed, and the direction of further studies are indicated.
