The core of the New Curriculum Reforms is the curriculum implementation, whose basic method is teaching. So the reform of teaching is the most important part of the Curriculum Reforms. Many ideas and plans of New Curriculum are needed to be realized with the help of teaching. In order to make a great success in the New Curriculum Reforms, teaching needs to reform accordingly. The definition of the Effective Teaching develops with time, which has different targets, methods and strategies in different situations. At present, Effective Teaching is a group of teaching ideas which the international community accepts, aiming at developing the student's ability of innovation, practice and self-development. Effective Teaching adjusts the requirements of quality education in our time.The main body of this thesis consists of five parts.PartⅠ:Introduction. Summaries of Chinese and foreign educators for the Effective Teaching combines the educational development abroad and at home. Discuss the significance of Effective Teaching of science in primary school.PartⅡ:The Basic Theoretical on Effective Teaching of science in primary school. After studying many documents, the author of this paper puts forward the theoretical foundation of effective teaching of science in primary school.PartⅢ:A theoretical study of Effective Teaching of science in primary school.Defining the core concepts, such as science teaching, effective teaching, teaching strategies, the author discusses the teaching objectives, principles and methods of primary science.PartⅣ:An Empirical Study. The study on science teaching in primary school is mainly conducted through classroom observation and questionnaire forms, to collect data and conduct analysis, identify the impact of the main reasons for the efficiency of classroom teaching.PartⅤ:Strategies Study. According to the above theoretical study, investigation and research, to improve the efficiency of science teaching in primary schools, the author puts forward the teaching strategies, for example teaching strategies of preparation, strategies of asking question etc. These strategies are very practical, and they have a positive effect on science teaching in primary school.
