Empowerment Of Vulnerable Persons

The society and academic field has focused on migrant workers'children for a long time. The problems about migrant workers' children's social integration and adaptation to the fast-developing society are very important, these problems not only relate to the fate of migrant workers' children, but also relate to balance of compulsory education development and the social harmonious and stability. The government tries to make all the migrant workers'children study in public school, but now there still parts of them can't study in public school. So they need somebody to help them solve problems exist in their growth process. The research is exemplified by migrant workers'children living in Changbei Apartment and enrolling in two kinds of schools. Because the children study in different schools, some in public school, some in private school, they show different behaviors and estrangement. From the view of Person in Environment in social work, we can see the main factors affect these problems which are individual, peer groups, family and school. From the view of empowerment in social work, these manifest migrant workers'children need to empower. So the objects of empowerment are not only the individual, but also include environmental factors influence the children's growing curse. So this study design service plan from individual and environment to improve study objects'empowerless. In the process of service, we use professional methods in group working, then design group activities which can meet the objects'needs to empower this weak groups. From the study, I try to grope for a pattern promoting such children to grow better in urban cities.
