China And The United States Teacher Education Curriculum Research

Education is the foundation of human social progress, the key of developing and improving the quality of education is teachers. With the implementation of basic education's curriculum reform, we need some primary and secondary teachers of higher quality. Many countries in the world are aware of the importance of teacher education, and they do more and more research about it, the research on teacher education, a core issue is a study of teacher education curriculum.The paper analyzes the problem from teacher education curriculum aspect, which takes documentary analysis method, contrast method, history study method and other methods do a comparative research on Chinese and American teacher education curriculum, and find out the shortcomings of our country's teacher education curriculum. We should learn from American teacher education curriculum experience, getting some useful suggestions based on the proposed teacher education curriculum. This study started from the following ideas:In the first part:The paper analyzes the problem from teacher education curriculum aspect and discusses the origins of this research topics, as well as theoretical and practical significance. Define some core concepts, such as teacher education, curriculum and so on.In the second part:Do a research on history of Chinese and American teacher education curriculum's development. We know that a country's history has a great impact on his curriculum by analyzing the history of the two countries.In the third part:Describe the teacher education between China and America, and discuss the objective, structure and content of the two countries teacher education curriculum. The content can be divided into general courses, education courses and professional courses.In the fourth part:Do a detailed comparison of the teacher education between China and America from the history of two countries, objective, structure, content and practice. Through the comparative research, we find that the American teacher education curriculum has many advantages that we can learn, and point out the shortcomings of our country's teacher education curriculum.In the fifth part:Discuss the inspiration of American teacher education curriculum:Improve the teacher education's objective; broaden the general courses, and adjust the internal structure of the general courses; increase the proportion of education courses, and enrich the content of education courses; adjust the proportion of academic curriculum; reasonable arrangements for the practice courses.
