Students' Social Ways To Cultivate

There is a close relationship between the ideological and political education and the foster of social competence in the colleague student. Nowadays, the researches focus on such courses as physical education, ideological and political education, and on such methods as psychological counseling and treatment. There is lacking of empirical research on the effectiveness of those measures. This study can make up for this shortcoming. We interviewee with students,counselors and teachers in Taiyuan university of science and technology, take a comprehensive exploration on various ways to cultivate student's social competence in higher education environment. The study concludes that there are some ways to help college students to develop their social competence which include the classroom teaching, the campus organization and activities, social practice and the counselors in the existing educational environment. These aspects can't get good effects for the intrinsic duty and method of themselves. So, we propose some measures and proposals to enhance the effect of various ways of cultivating student's social competence in higher education environment, which include conducting professional training courses, counselor should master certain concepts and methods, the campus organization should carry activities related to social competence training, make systematic guidance for student's social practice.
