With the "compulsory education" basically completed and the widespread of higher education, high school education has become the "bottleneck" of the whole education. However, general secondary education appears to be extremely popular in students and parents. The secondary vocational education which occupies half of the high school education can not develop properly and in the week position. The single-track system of education limits the development of secondary vocational schools. In order to develop secondary vocational education, we must break through the limitations of the existing mode and explore one way which meets the current educational conditions and marketing demand to change the status of vocational education.From the existing research, we can see that the study of mode on the secondary vocational schools stays around theory level. There is little in case study.This study aimed to provide a new perspective on the development of secondary vocational education through the interchangeability in general and vocational high schools school-running model adopted in Shimei.Thesis's chapter arranges as four parts:The introduction mainly includes the origin and background of thesis, research intent, meaning, core concepts, literature review and research methods.Chapter 1 describes the interchangeability in general and vocational high schools school-running model adopted in Shimei Secondary vocational school, and introduces its background information including objectives, construction, features and specialty setup.Chapter 2 summarizes the accomplishments of Shimei Scondary vocational school from the perspectives of students, teachers and the school separately.Chapter 3 analyzes the factors that contributing to the success of the interchangeability in general and vocational high schools and its limitations.Chapter 4 offer some implications to secondary vocational school change and development, based on the interchangeability in general and vocational high schools, which also provide some suggestions for students and parents.
