Technological Innovation And Automobile Industry Development

Since the founding of New China, China’s automobile industry has made brilliant achievements. As China began to reform and join the WTO, China’s auto industry is gradually being recognized by the public. The Government attaches great importance to the future of China’s auto industry, the emphasis embodied in industrial policy. By 2010, China’s auto production and sales are the first in the world, which Demonstrate the potential of China’s auto industry development. But this can not conceal the Chinese auto industry is reflected in the core technology missing, independent innovation ability. Currently, there is a certain gap between China and developed countries in Europe and America car. Therefore, the future development of China’s auto industry is still very difficult. How to effectively enhance the technological innovation capability of China’s automobile industry is very important. Only do this, we are automotive power country in the true sense.Through literature review, we use industrial development theory and industry life cycle theory to study the relationship between technological innovation and the development of the automobile industry. Through the empirical model, we analyze the technological innovation of the development of automobile industry of our country. Finally based on the lack of technical innovation, we put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.The paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction. The second chapter is literature review. The third chapter is theoretical analysis, and we define the "automobile industry", "industry life cycle" and "technological innovation". Combined with industry life cycle, we analyze the impact of technological innovation and the development of the automobile industry. Then combined with China’s auto industry development process, we try to divide China’s auto industry life cycle. The fifth chapter based on production function, we analyze the main problems of technological innovation to promote the development of the automotive industry in our country. The sixth chapter is the conclusion and recommendations.The main conclusions are as follows. Firstly, the role of technological innovation at all stages of the life cycle in the automotive industry is an innovative system, and the development of technological innovation will simply impede the process of development of automobile industry. At the same time, the role of technological innovation system in the automotive industry life cycle, solving the outstanding problems facing the development of the car and reducing costs and enhance performance, so it can realize the development of the automobile industry. Secondly, China’s automobile industry life cycle can be divided into three stages. Before the year 2000 is the industry life cycle introduction period, from the year 2000 to year 2010 is the growing industry life cycle, after the year 2010 is the industry life cycle maturity. Thirdly, research and development expenditure, the number of researchers has contributed significantly to the development of China’s automobile industry. And whether it is in the growth stage, or in the longer term, China’s auto industry have the scale. So under the premise of maintaining a stable technology, expanding production scale can promote the expansion of the industry. In the formative years, R&D expenditure is less than the elastic resilient throughout the period of R&D expenditure is greater than the elasticity of the elastic technical personnel throughout the period of technical personnel. We can know that description of technological innovation will become more important in the lead-in period and maturity, especially at this stage of maturity, technological innovation will play an important role in promoting the industry mature and stable. Fourthly, the Chinese Automobile Industry Technology Innovation in the current main problem is that it not well to combination of technology innovation and industrial development lifecycle. Such as, we do not understand of technology innovation connotation that the emergence of new products on behalf of the final result of technological innovation, while ignoring all the various stages of industrial development requires technical innovation effect. And growth in the import of Chinese automobile industry development, we use the introduction of technology to meet the shortfall, so that the automotive industry will lack of the independent innovation when at the stage of maturity. The main reason is that our country in order to protect the industry and the size of the guide as the core auto industry policy, limiting competition in the automobile industry.
