The special geographical position, rich biological resources, good ecological environment of ethnic minority autonomous prefecture make it become the important ecological barrier in southwest Of China. The study on energy consumption increase of Chuxiong, Honghe, Wenshan, Xishuangbanna, Dali,Dehong, Nujiang, Diqing as the research object.Using the LMDI model,this paper decomposes the influential factors of energy consumption increment into economic development,energy intensity,and population size,and analysis of theirs contribution to the increment. Through studying the increment of energy consumption of ethnic minority areas from 2005 to 2014,three conclusion are made in this paper. First,economic development population size play a role of driving energy consumption increment. Second, energy intensity have very good inhibitory effect on consumption increment.Economic development and energy intensity to increase the contribution rate of energy consumption in the opposite trend.
