Analysis Based On The System Concept Of Core Competitiveness Of Enterprises

The theory of the core competence of the corporation was advanced through summing up the managerial experience. The core competence has some own traits. These traits make the core competence to be a most main competitive capability. At present, there are two main schools on the study of the core competence of the corporation, namely the resource-based thought and the capabilities-based one. But there is no essential contradictory between them.Many scholars have given us the definition of the core competence of the corporation; however, there is difference in the connotation. Summarizing the studies and drawing on the thought of the system theory, it is found that the core competence of the corporation is existing in a system which is made of macro environment, industrial environment and micro environment and that its own is a system which is made of the center layer, the bring-into-play layer and the protection layer. Different capabilities exist in different layers and the three layers are bound organically. Capability has some life cycle and it need change with the environment changing.After clarifying the systems view of the core competence of the corporation, the tool used to identify the core competence is posed. In term of the expanding field, core competence can be divided into two layers, namely industrial core competence and corporation's core competence. They play different roles in corporation development. Through the qualitative analysis, which layer the core competence belongs to can be recognized. Quantitative analysis of the corporation condition is made from two aspects, existing time and profit rate.It is wrong to make the core competence be limited in some field of corporation. In the course of the research, it is the main aim to rationalize the relations of several different capabilities in corporation competition. When the core competence is fostered in corporation, these capabilities need strengthen and coordinate. The research makes the core competence of the corporation coincide the reality competition and become the continual strong support for corporation competitive superiority.
