Arcims Hexigten National Geological Park-based Tourism Information Systems, Construction And Realization

The Hexigten National Geopark is located in Hexigten Banner, Chifeng city, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Hexigten has abundant geologic remains and biodiversity. It is an all-around national geopark composed of the Quaternary glacial vestiges, volcanic landscape, thermal spring, desert, grassland, river and lake. Hexigten has profound historical culture and diverse ethnic culture of Mongolia. It is a historical museum to acquaint the great minority on horseback. The technology of visualization is one of important part of GIS. Abstract geography data can be used to present graphics language by GIS, so that the presentation of information is rich and can be accepted by everyone. The emergence of WebGIS technology pave the way for GIS in a popular style, and data share can be realized in a more extensive area by the technology of GIS . Travelling information can be issued prompt and in time by WebGIS technology, so that information can be obtained by tourists. The application of ArcIMS in travelling-information system was discussed in this article on the base of Hexigten national Geopark and a lot of reference datum. Concept and trait of WebGIS was brought. Technique and actuality was summarized. Developping direction of WebGIS was discussed. By researching software of all over the world and peculiarity of Hexigten national Geopark, ArcIMS was as a tool of travelling information system's program. ArcIMS is a map application server on network running on Intranet or Internet which is produced by ESRI. Information and resource can be exhibited by ArcIMS. Development and basic theory of WebGIS are generalized on the base of abundance literature. The mechanism and developing method of ArcIMS was summarized and travelling information system is discussed, and Hexigten travelling information. The function of ArcIMS was anatomied in detaile. Theory of ArcSDE,Oracle,Geodatabase was researched into. By analyzing consumer demand,Target and principle was brought forward. Space database and travelling information database was established. Designing model of travelling information system was made certain. Following, designing and programming of system was carried through. By working hard of more one year, travelling information system was put up according to primary conceiving. In last, some conclusions was educed and some question was brought forward.
