Enterprise culture is a prevalent phenomena. Wherever there is aenterprise there is enterprise culture. Objectively, the effect of enterpriseculture on the enterprise development isn't so apparent since enterprisecame into being until the first half of the 20th century. The reason is thatthe speed was slow for the development of science technology and theeconomic increasing during that period. Besides, its social influencewasn't so obvious for the enterprise culture. And people didn't pay muchattention to the effect of technology and culture on the development ofeconomy. However, during the second half of the 20th century, scienceand technology had advanced rapidly. Economy had boomed and thesocial culture had also been enriched. There was a great change from thecontent to the form for the culture. In terms of enterprise, speed hasbecome a critical factor in the competition after the revolution oftechnology and competition has focused on the innovation, whichimplied the power of technology and culture. Taking use of themselvesexcellent culture has brought some successful enterprises forward. Thefunction of enterprise was pay attention to thereafter. Subjectively,enterprise culture began to be seriously studied in the academic fieldbecause of its important effect on the development of the enterprise onlyin the 1970s. And the exploration achieved its heat in the 1980s. In1990s, with the popularization of enterprise culture, enterprise was on tothe significance of the normative culture for the development oforganization.The paper's frame is as follows: The main purpose of the paper isdiscussed in the introduction, which is based on the thought of somecritical problems. As the competition becomes more and more fierceamong enterprises, building the competition advantage turns the core ofthe enterprise competition. And the impact of enterprise culture in thecompetition is expanded. In the first chapter, the object studied and somedifficult problems are defined. In addition, enterprise culture isunscrambled. Furthermore, some concepts are described, such as theconnotation, the function, the characteristics and ethics of the enterprise.In the second chapter, some concepts on competitive advantage is setfouth, which include the concept of the competitive advantage, thesource of competitive advantage and the relation between enterpriseculture and competitive advantage. In the third chapter, two successfulenterprises' culture, Langxun and Haier, are analyzed and somerevelations are attained. In the fourth chapter, it is discoursed on thingslike the construction of the enterprise culture and the function ofintendants in it. In the fifth chapter, it is expounded that enterpriseculture has an promotive effect on the competitive advantage as anconclusion. And the enterprise culture is unique. That is to say, it can'tbe imitated.The study of the enterprise culture is a study field which isengendered and swiftly developed with the development of socialeconomy and the exploration of management practicing. The theoreticalmeaning of the study is on the fact that it expands the traditionalmanagement theory and gives more attention to the social and humanbeing factor in the process of the management. This is in line with thedirection of development of western society;the practical meaning liesin fact that it offers theoretical frame for the development and long runperformance of enterprise. The paper expresses the necessity and theimportant function of the enterprise culture on the ground of the sourceof competitive advantage. Moreover, it is concluded that the successfulenterprise culture of individual firm isn't universal.
