Many companies in China have realized that the modern enterprise system should be alignedwith the approriate corporate culture. Construction and management of corporate culture is receive extensive attention. Pingxiang Steel Co., Ltd.,in the process of enterprise development, has also established its unique culture that is bringing dramatic change to the company. However, changing people's mind is by no means an easy process. Some employees did not identify with the company's vision and mission, and therefore, it was difficult to implement the core values in the actions of the employees. Mission statements turned into slogans. In view of the dilemma of Pingxiang Steel, Co. Ltd, the author conducted a detailed analysis of the problems faced by the company, pointing out the importance of cultural reconstruction and putting forward suggestions as to how to achieve this. These suggestions have implications for developing a cultural system in which people identify and share the core corporate values and adjust their behavior accordingly.
