Logistics Center And Its Location Method Study

At present, modern logistics has become a new economic hotpot.Logistics is the headspring of the third profits. Modern logistics is a veryimportant part of modern manufacture industry. While production capabilityand production efficiency show weaker and weaker influence on manufacture,logistics point out a new way to get economy profit. Therefore, more andmore modern logistics centers set up in the developed country.Logistics center's function in modern commodity currency is very great.Through unify management of the work such as transportation of thecommodity, storage, load, deliver, order and information handle, logisticscenter can increase the stock velocity, accelerate the commodity currency,reduce cost. In order to realize the function, we must attach importance to thechoice of the logistics center's location. This is the original reason of thepaper.The beginning of this paper introduces the general knowledge oflogistics center. It contains the definition of the logistics center, its functionand its sort. After this, the paper focuses on the process of the selection oflogistics center's location.The principle, influencing factor and the models that should beconsidered when selecting the place of logistics center consist of the maincontents of this paper. This first one deals with the objective of logisticscenter's location, the principle of location should be followed. And the secondintroduces three mathematical models.By the help of the above-mentioned contents, the author researches theeffect of logistics centers and analyses and discusses the preparation work andmathematical models. After that the author gives some suggestions to thecorporation in China.
