The area of public building is 4% of total building area, while its power consumption is 22% of the power consumption of cities and towns. The energy consumption of air conditioning and heating for buildings is about 50% to 70% of total building energy consumption, thus air-conditioning energy saving is a priority in public building energy-saving. Energy consumption is too large in some air-conditioning systems, and it needs an energy audit for air-conditioning systems. A basis of energy audit is establishing energy consumption indexes and establishing energy consumption evaluation system. The state attaches great importance to energy saving of public buildings, and publishes series of public building energy conservation standards. These standards become the main framework and significant basis of air-conditioning system energy consumption indexes of public buildings. However, most of these standards aim at energy-saving design for air-conditioning systems in pubilc building, and many indexes are not suitable to be applied in operation conditions of air-conditioning systems directly. Calculations of some indexes need to be modied to adjust the operation conditions of air-conditioning systems. Because some existing public buildings lack the necessary energy data-measuring systems, it is also important to study how to get the energy-consuming data in low price, high accuracy and low quantity. At the basis of existing energy-consuming indexes of air-conditioning systems, the indexes which are suitable to the operation of air-conditioning system, and the acquisition of air-conditioning energy-consuming data and the problem of indoor temperature sensor placement are studied.Firstly, the subentry measure of energy consumption of main devices is important in energy audit of air-comditioning systems. This paper analyzes the features of air-conditioning devices in public buildings, and then introduces the methods that how to get the energy consumption of each device.Secondly, this paper makes original air-conditioning system energy-consuming indexes as the main framework, and makes easy calculation and easy to implement as the basic principles. The new energy-consuming index system for air-conditioning system is divided into three parts:overall energy-consuming indexes, main function systems energy-consuming indexes and main devices energy-consuming indexes. Data acquired easily in actual measurement is applied to calculate energy-consuming indexes. Calculations of some indexes are modified to adjust the diffrrent structures of air-conditioning systems. The new energy-consuming indexes system is used to analyze energy consumption of an actual air-conditioning system in chapter 6.Thirdly, the acquisition of air-conditioning energy-consuming data is studied for the need of energy-consuming indexes system of air-conditioning system. The acquisition of air-conditioning energy-consuming data should analyze the feature of air-conditioning devices and operation of air-conditioning system to reduce the number of data needed to measure. And the measurement should not affect the normal operation of air-conditioning system, and it should make use of instruments and methods which have less damage and less quantities.Fourthly, to solve the measurement of indoor temperature, indoor temperature fields in two air-supply styles are studied using computational fluid dynamics, and effect of outdoor heat source and indoor load on indoor temperature field is analyzed, these studies offer guidance for the placement for temperature sensors. Finally, this paper ends with a summary of the research work, and presents shortcomings of this paper and further research.
