Product's design quality will directly affect product manufacture, use and a series of subsequent process. As an important actuating mechanism of satellite antennas achieving track, positioning, and other functions, the performance of the driving mechanism has a tremendous impact on the working performance of satellite antenna. The satellite antenna has high design requirement on the pointing accuracy. In most cases, the majority of malfunctions are beyond repair. Even the parts can not be replaced. Once it breaks down, it will cause heavy economic losses. And ground simulation test of the driving mechanism which is expensive is difficult. Therefore, the evaluation methodology of design quality of the driving mechanism of satellite antennas is very important. Taking a certain type of satellite antenna driving mechanism as its researching object, this dissertation made comprehensive evaluation by choosing appropriate evaluation method to ensure the evaluation of design quality of the driving mechanism.First of all, by analyzing composition and the principle of the antenna driving mechanism composition, the evaluation index system of the design scheme of the driving mechanism in concept design phase was built, and the multilevel evaluation index system of the design quality of a certain type of spot beam antenna in the detail design phase was built, which laying the groundwork for comprehensive evaluation.Secondly, based on the established index system of the design scheme of the antenna driving mechanism, the fuzzy evaluation method, grey evaluation method and extension evaluation method are applied to research on the evaluation methodology of design scheme. The optimization of the scheme is selected, then the advantages, disadvantages and the applicable range of the three evaluation methods are analyzed. All this lay a solid foundation for the evaluation of the design quality of a certain type of spot beam antenna.Furthermore, based on the characteristic of a certain type of spot beam antenna and the established evaluation index system of the design quality, a appraisal method which is more in line with the characteristic of the satellite antenna biaxial driving mechanism was obtained. In the process of evaluation, the fuzzy assessment and extension evaluation are applied to the evaluation of the design quality of the satellite antennas driving mechanism. Especially when the membership matrix is obtained, the qualitative and quantitative index which belong to the different types are fully considered. Fuzzy statistics and constructing membership function are respectively adopted to calculate the membership grade. At last, the evaluation system of the design quality of the satellite antennas driving mechanism is developed based on VC, which can achieve the evaluation of the design quality and to ensure the design quality of the driving mechanism of the satellite antennas.
