We must transport coal from mines to rail, and then rail to the port, finally to the terminal market by sea,which has become more important transport corridors, so the north of the coal port undertake increasing pressure.Shenhua Company is the big company which coal production, transportation, sold, and power plant combined. Shenhua Tianjin Coal Dock is a joint venture between Tianjin Port and Shenhua Group. Dose Shenhua Tianjin Coal Dock has the ability to complete such an arduous task, which hinders an important part of the development of Shenhua Group. Countermeasures have been proposed Based on the Shenhua Tianjin Coal Dock internal and external environment analysis.In this paper, we firstly introduce the terminal development of external and internal environment by an entry point of the Shenhua Tianjin Coal Dock Co., Ltd. Company Profile.; The external environment include China's coal market, Shenhua Group's coal market and transport system; while the internal environment include terminal location advantages, collection and distribution channel, terminal logistics operation and forecast of coal throughput.Secondly, we sum up strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the terminal development according to the analysis of internal and external environment. We determine four strategic (SO, ST, WO, WT) through the SWOT matrix analysis, the terminal development in growth-oriented (SO) phase is reached by use of comprehensive SWOT analysis.Finally, the paper has put forward five areas based on the actual development of a viable response according to the above analysis, the implementation of these measures will be beneficial to enhance the Shenhua Tianjin Coal Dock of the company's overall operating efficiency and management level, also Guarantee utilization of their ability.
