Nowadays, with the rapid development of science and technology, many advanced technology has been applied in the shipbuilding industry. Therefore, shipbuilding mode has continued developed. Shipbuilding model has changed from "Overall Manufacturing model", "Blocks Manufacturing model" to "Reservation Manufacturing model" and "Integrated Manufacturing model", and advanced shipbuilding countries such as Japan, Korea have started the research on "Agile Manufacturing model"Under agile manufacturing model, the shipyard which is equipment-intensive and information-intensive assembly plants will be evolved into knowledge-intensive and globally networked modular close factories. And the modern assembly shipbuilding process model is established. System of intermediate product specialization and social production support is built. A shipbuilding refined management methods and a unified platform framework for information integration is created. Therefore, the shipbuilding process and management is optimized, the shipbuilding costs is reduced.Production scheduling technology is the key to solve the above problem. In this thesis, features of production planning and scheduling in agile shipbuilding enterprise are summarized. The internal system and production planning and scheduling model of domestic shipping companies are analyzed. Basic flow of virtual production assembly line are described. By analyzing The virtual assembly line scheduling based on genetic algorithm is introduced. In use of the the main restricting factors of dock cycle production scheduling system, the total sets production planning and labor arrangement are solved. And the optimal solution is searched in solution space.
