This thesis analysis and expatiate the work principle of transplanting mechanism based on the study of rice transplanter transplanting mechanism that have been existing,and get the point that the non-circular gear with variable transmission is the core invention elements of transplanting mechanism.Meanwhile, analysising the non-circular gears (eccentric - gear, oval gear) transmission characteristics that have been applicated on the transplanting mechanism, and compare to the transmission characteristics of the deformation elliptical gears. Using deformed elliptical gear which the range of transmission ratio is more wide to design a new transplanting mechanism that was applied to the walking transplanter, which can formed the motion path with the buckle in the end, so that the transplanting mechanism can dig the smaller hole in ground which can ensure the seedlings of orthostatic.? In addition, developing a optimization design software which be facilitate use to optimize the transplanting mechanism; the same time, developing a profile design software which be use to get the data of deformation of elliptical gear tooth. Using the optimization design software of transplanting mechanism to optimize the organization and obtain a set of optimization parameters: a = 22mm, m1 =1.3, e= 0.4, S= 160mm,δ0 = 110°,α 0= -26°,φ0=15°,ω= 200 r/ min, R= 22mm, H= 130mm. According to those parameters can design the transplanting mechanism can formed the motion path with the buckle in the end.and the angle of takeing seedling is 12.26°, the angle of pushing seedling is 67.96°, the angle of difference is 55.70°, planting hole less than 15mm, the absolute height of path is 250mm.5.? demonstrating the correction of the transplanting mechanism through virtual prototype simulation and Theoretical model.
