In the past twenty years, TCSL(Teaching Chinese As Second Language) research is growing vigorously and led to very positive result.The research contents are further unceasingly,and the research scope constantly is expanding outward.While research methods seem like scientific research rather than empirical analysis.Research system in TCSL develops towards overall,design, professional and systematic direction. But we also have to see many of shortages of research in the relative fieldText teaching is one of the weak link. In research theory, textual research has not been formed system. In practical teaching theory,due to reasons such as insufficient and teachers consciousness, text teaching is just testing teaching at the moment.There is a phenomenon that advanced stage foreign students usually speak sentences correct but can't speak native Chinese. To resolve this problem,the text teaching is very helpful and it is also very necessary. In order to improve the TCSL research system and promote students' Chinese level, it is necessary for us to promote discourse theoryIn this paper, we based on the inductions about textual teaching study, textual cohesion study, and contrastive study on textual cohesion.We using statistical analysis, description analysis, errors analysis and other methods, analyzed the application methods and errors of the text cohesion by foreign students on the senior stage.We try to find the use features of learners and the errors reasons, and finally put forward some specific teaching Suggestions and countermeasures.This paper is split into four chapters, the first chapter for the introduction, the second chapter to the fourth chapter for the theme, finally the conclusion of the part for articles.The first chapter is the introduction section. The introduction of textual part introduces the definition, and text study in foreign language and mandarin discourse research. This part introduces discourse teaching research, textual materials research, application research of students using text. We point out that the situation of the current study deficiency. And then is the content of the proposed in this paper.At last is the significance, the value and research methods.Chapter 2 is based on the corpus. This part study senior stage student's discourse connection means application and errors analysis. This paper at first defined text concept. This paper adopt Huangguowen's view,just studying reference, ellipsis, substitution and logical connection.The second part analysis the error characteristics and reasons through data statistic. Statistics show a phenomenon that the errors are distributed unbalance.The third part is Comprehensive analysis on discourse competence by Samples of individual learner.We chose five texts as samples.And then we comprehensive analysis those text and find out that the discourse competence of students are distributed unbalance.The fourth part content Error analysis and advises.First section is studying errors causes.We think there are three causes may led to errors.First, mother-tongue plays a negative role in the cross-cultural communication. Students take avoidance strategy. Second, it's a shortage of text teaching in the entry-level stage.It's lack of text teaching material.Third, theoretical study is insufficient to guide teaching.At present teaching evaluation system make teachers tend to grammar and vocabulary teaching.The second section are advises. We think we should put forward some concrete Suggestions from three angle. The learners should compare Chinese and mother language,and try to use more new Chinese grammar structure and. Text teaching should be from the primary stage to advanced stage. And each class type teaching must cooperate each other simultaneously.There is need for intensive research and more practice on text teaching.Last part of this for epilogue, points out the article summarizes, the value and deficiencies, while puts forward the content for further research.
