Objective To explore the relationship and the interaction mechanism between self-forgiveness, coping style and sleep quality in college students. Methods With stratified sampling,678 college students in three universities of Fujian were questioned with the self-designed self-forgiveness questionnaire of college students, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Questionnaire (PSQI). Results (1)Self-Forgiveness Questionnaire for College Students (SFQ-CS) has good qualities of psychometrics in inner consistency reliability, split-half reliability, content validity, construction validity, criterion validity and empirical validity.(2)Significant differences exist between boys and girls, among different grades in total of SFQ-CS.(3) Significant differences also exist between boys and girls, among different grades in total of SCSQ.(4) 29.6% students have sleep problem. There are significant differences in grades and resource in college students.(5) Self forgiveness is significantly positive correlated with Positive Coping Styles, while is significant negative correlated with Sleep Quality Index. (6) Negative Coping Style is significantly positive correlated with morpheus quality. Conclusion (1)The level of self-forgiving of boys is lower than girls'. (2) the Active Coping Style used by girls is more frequently than used by boys. (3) The sleep problems of college students cannot be ignored, which mainly embodies in daytime dysfunction, subjective sleep quality aspects of poor and sleep disorders. The sleep quality basic present increased with grade worse tendency, in which the cities student than rural students face more and more severe sleep problems. (4) Self forgiveness and coping styles affect morpheus quality respectively via trait forgiveness and negative coping, positive coping styles indirectly affect sleep quality by idiosyncratic self forgiving; (5) Positive Coping Styles promotes self forgiveness, while Negative Coping Styles holds back self forgiveness in college students.
