With the continuous development of economy and education in China, to enhance teachers'educational level has become an overall direction of education development today. The certificate-oriented study of Five-year preschool education has provided a platform for training preschool teachers in order to have qualification in related discipline. However, it is obviously not feasible to follow the idea of secondary education.Through comparative analysis of the three different types of education, namely, secondary, tertiary, and undergraduate education, this study attempts to describe the current situation of preschool education in China, and pinpoint the advantages and the major problems existing in piano teaching specialized in five-year preschool education. By investigating, analyzing and probing into the problems, the present thesis tries to find out the true reasons why the learners lack learning interest and what causes poor learning, and it will mainly focus on exploring some practical methods to improve learning and providing some specific suggestions on solving the problems.According to the findings, the author tries to make some suggestions on how to improve piano teaching specialized in five-year preschool education in terms of teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching methods, forms of teaching organization and teaching assessment, and the author expects that the result of the research will be significant to other domestic colleges with the similar specialty by providing inspiration for improving the education system of piano teaching for five-year preschool education.
