With the importance of early childhood education in society and development of earlychildhood education,professional quality of pre-school teachers become a key factor to improveearly childhood education level.Piano is one of the important tools that can cultivate musicaesthetic and music feel of children,so the mastery of piano skills is of great significance for thepre-school professional students.This paper uses literature method and investigation research method,starting from the needs ofthe community level,professional development level and pre-school children courses constitutelevel,combined with a certain degree of social background,launched an investigation on pianoteaching situation of pre-school edution profession at two normal colleges in G city.The objects ofthis investigation are studengts and teachers of early childhood edcation major in two normalcolleges.I try to make objective analysis on piano teaching situation of early childhood educationmajor in two colleges from seven aspects that are student,teaching content,teachingmethod,teaching environment,teaching objective,instruction feedback and teacher and so on.After an investigation,there are problems in every aspect of the piano teaching of early childhoodeducation major,such as the course hours of piano accompaniment lesson are insufficient,teachersrarely make learning method guidance for students,teaching facilities are imperfect,relatedresearch of teachers has a small number and poor quality,continuing education of teachers is weak.I make a descriotion of the problem,at the same time,propose some countermeasures andsuggestions.The study suggest that should pay attendtion to the students’ piano basis,improvethe motivation of students to learn the piano,should be based by group lessons,supplemented byindividual teaching mode,should improve teaching and learning environment from teachingequipment and learning atmosphere,classroom atmosphere etc.students should be more familiarwith the teaching objectives.Teachers should strengthen instructional feedback.College leadersshould pay attention to the improvement of teachers’ professional development.
