Chinese Opera is an opera with unique artistic form which is combined the arts introduced into China in 20th century with the local arts. It's an outcome from Chinese and Foreign Opera mingled together. In the development of Chinese Opera over more than 50 years, it's even full of twists and turns, however still creates many works by worthy of our concerns and research. Moreover, the Chinese opera also reflects the modern society and new thoughts and is most welcome by people. The female images in the opera all represents the striking features of the Times and bring too much thinking and aftertaste to all of the people. It expresses the female from experiencing the compression in old society to rising up in revolutionary years and then getting freedom and pursuing love in new society. And all of these are changing with the progress of Chinese history. Just as shown as these vivid characters, our lives are changing and affected. The Chinese modern opera Savage Land is a bright star among Chinese opera not only because of its attractive plot, the thoughts and feeling inside but also the striking characteristics of combination of Chinese and western elements. This opera is accepted by most of people and regarded as the first Chinese opera that shocks people on the western stage. This opera also becomes the first Chinese opera that keep a foothold on western stage as well as in international repertory. In this opera, the female lead Jin Zi shows her unique traits of character. This article is to take the female lead Jin Zi in the representative opera Savage Land as an example to analyze the creation of Soprano's Image in China Modern Opera.The thesis include three chapters:Chapter One: The development introduction of Chinese Opera. Fourth are its achievements.Chapter Three: The image-building of the soprano's image in Savage Land. There are three main parts. First is the image analysis of the soprano Jin Zi in the opera. Second is the analysis of Jin Zi's classic aria in the opera. Third is the creation of the image of Jin Zi.
