Research On The Late Qing Dynasty Military Poem

Military poem refers to the military life or the war,which can be realistic or virtual.There are quite a few military poems in Qing poetry, which did not receive due attention. The poetry is a very unique part of Qing poetry, in particular the poetry of war ,they contains a wealth of political, ethnic, geographical, cultural, emotional, aesthetic, etc. Patriotism has always been the main theme of Military poem, however, the specific content of "patriotic" in Qing Military poem is different from other times. To research Qing Military poem and sort out the rheological meaning of thoughts and feelings, we can see as a group, the intellectuals change their minds as society changes; to explore the rheological art of poetry ,we can see the rheological art of poetry rooted in age, content and the development of people's understanding of the poetry art itself; to explore some real detailed records can supplement some historical dificiencies.In order to do a comprehensive research, the author collected a large number of military poems from lots of Qing Dynasty Poems, however , misfortune compelled the plan. As the restrictions of time and competency, the author had to focus on The Late Qing. But it's difficult to give up the poems which had been paid much effort to, so this part was reserved as a resources which may be used in the future.The Military poems of the Late Qing are generally in chronological order, with wars as the key link, as same as The Military poems before Late Qing . And then remarked some major themes such as: expression of aggression patriotism; performance of military life; praise hero; to expose the corruption of the military of Qing Government and the dread or tyranny officers and men; describe people displaced in the war in suffering; condemn the Qing government to compromise and surrender of foreign policy; showed three main art features: to adapt to the times , new changes of the elements of poetry have taken place; the use of documentary approach and fantasy style; sad and moving tragic aesthetic style. This paper largely reflects the outlook of the Qing Dynasty Military poems, especially the Late Qing Military, outlines the main context of Qing Dynasty Military poems, summed up the main characteristics of the different Military poem stages .
