China is the third largest country in the world and it has twenty percent of the world's population. So nobody can't deny the China's great potentials. Korea has been having close relationships with China since the normalization of diplomatic relations in 1922. According to the growing amount of trade between two countries, the need to learn Chinese language is growing higher and higher. The ultimate purpose of learning Chinese language is to build fluent communication ability. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are the general ways of improving language ability but recently a new method of teaching Chinese through games and songs is introduced and regarded as a desirable method. Among these games and songs,Chinese children's songs are one of the best way of learning Chinese language. Primary purpose of foreign language education is to make learners achieve ability for fluent communication in the target language. Korean language education, after mid 1990s, have also had its goal to improve the communication ability through Korean language education. Thus, the main stream of the education were Communicative Language Teaching(CLT) or Communicative Approach(CA) to make the learners have meaningful communication in Korean, escaping from simple repeating training after teachers or recorded materials. But, in the field of the education, the use of educational materials with poor virtuality prevents them from active communication with practical data.They can be used as a good learning material because we can study the words of the songs easily through singing songs repeatedly.Thus, this thesis was designed to study on Chinese language education using Children's songs. Also, This study presents a teaching model that contains a variety of methods that can give interest to the learner while they learn pronunciation, vocabulary, structure and culture using children's songs. There can be various ways of learning Chinese but using children's songs will be more effective than the other ways like approaching to pop culture etc. Also it can give learners motive and spontaneity.This interest of Korean Children about Chinese song became a great motivation for them to learn Chinese language, and it was regarded that it would be positive effect emotionally and cognitively.I hope there will be more studies and researches on the teaching methods through Chinese children's songs after this.
